Importance of Teamwork

In class on Friday when we did that activity on being stranded, I noticed how important working together is. Without teamwork we couldn't consider different aspects on things and how to approach them. Teamwork and working with other people helps you recognize things you might not have at first. When you work together, a lot can also get done faster.      One way I've seen proof of this is through sports. For example, in basketball everyone has to be in the right spot on the court at the right time and work together to score or defend. Same thing in football, everyone has to work together to be successful. Without teamwork, things would be chaotic. Teamwork is a great way to solve things.

Human Nature: Flawed

Humans are very complex living things. They have different things abut each person that differs one from another. One thing that every human has though, is flaws. No human is perfect or has a perfect life. Everyone sins and does bad things, and that's ok.      The reason I say every human has flaws is because I've witnessed it in life. No matter how good looking or perfect someone may seem, there is always something about them that is flawed. They may have a big nose, they may be rude, etc. I have also seen people that seem to have it perfect, but if you really look into it, everybody has problems. That's just the way it is.

Fall Break

I had a great fall break. On Thursday I got to chill and rest all day. Some family came to visit and I spent that day with them. Later that night I went to the varsity game which was pretty fun. On Friday I relaxed all day and my parents made me do stuff with my family. We spent the day catching up and talking about life. The next day I went to the 13th Gate with my friends and had a lot of fun. It was pretty scary. Today all I've done is homework, but I still had a great fall break.

VOMEW Response

This story was very interesting. It was about a man with wings that ended up in a family's courtyard. People from all over came to see him, but he eventually left. I found the story interesting because of it's uniqueness and quality. I liked the atmosphere and mood of the story. It explained how the family felt about the angel and how other people found it amusing. But you could tell the angel wasn't comfortable or happy.      When people came, they treated him as a circus animal and were very curious. They didn't really have respect for it. There was a moment in the story where he had tears and flapped his wings in pain/ anger. The family which owned the property he stayed at made money off people coming to visit, but they were alarmed and annoyed by his presence. Once he finally left they were relieved.

Late: Flash Fiction Short Story

One day, Wilson was walking to the grocery store. He saw a blue dog with green spots name Clifford. He walked over to the dog and started to rub it. Once he rubbed it, his hand started to get huge red bumps all over them. It turns out he was allergic to this dog. He then went to the doctor and the doctor gave him a special cream to cure him. He thanked the doctor and went home. Once he got home he saw the dog laying down at his doorstep. The dog wouldn't move. Wilson called the cops and the dog went to animal prison. the end.

Late: Harrison Bergeron

This is a short story about a boy named Harrison Bergeron. It takes place in 2081where everyone is "equal" and handicapped. A handicapper general is in charge of keeping everyone equal in appearance and intelligence. Everyone has the handicap installed into their bodies.      In the story, Harrison is the opposite of everyone else basically. He is extremely tall and handsome, therefore he is unequal. He is also way smarter than everyone else. He was thrown in prison, but he escapes. Once he escaped, he went to a TV set and destroyed, ranting about how he would take over the world. He chose a beautiful girl to be his wife and they kiss and dance. Not for long, though, once he gets shot along with the girl.
