I am not ready to grow up, When I think about it, it makes me throw up. I like being a kid and hanging with friends, Not working all day from morning until end. I play in the pool because its really cool, Play fort nite with buddies we clash and we duel. I'd rather sleep all day than slave away, Being a kid is just a better way. Snap snap.

Purple Response

So far I've enjoyed reading Purple Hibiscus. One character I've found interesting is Papa. He seems like a good character at first. He is very religious, demands respect from his kids, and he cares about his family. But, not everything is as it seems.      Papa is a very abusive, overly-competetiv guy. He has created a tyrannical house and intimidates his whole family. He killed a baby and constantly hits his wife, instilling fear in his family. No one in the family corrects his acts because they are too scared to do so. We'll see what happens over the course of the rest of the book.

Poem

I love the ocean breeze that gives me please, I walk through the sand, virgin margarita in my hand. The sun soaks my skin so well, The beach has a very amazing smell. The sky looks so blue in the sky, Trust me, I would never lie. So many fish swimming through the sea, I sit under an umbrella with a cup of tea. I love the beach ever so much, I love my beach beach beach beach beach.      I used Assonance, Alliteration, and Internal Rhyme. In line one I used internal rhyme to give the reader a sense of entertainment as an introduction. In line 3 I used alliteration to give a catchy vibe to the poem. At the end I added assonance to add a mark at the end of the poem so people will remember the poem and my main message.

Umbrella Song

I pickled the song Umbrella because I loved the song growing up. It has internal rhyme, alliteration, and assonance. "You know me, in anticipation for precipitation"      This song uses internal rhyme to keep the listener hooked to the song in a catchy way do to the rhyming. Rihanna does this to connect to her listeners in a way thats not so boring and is also up beat. Good song-writiers do this so they can communicate their message in an effective way. "Good Girl Gone Bad"      This alliteration is used to catch a listeners attention and make the song catchy. It can be easy to remember and can really catch the listeners attention. Things like this can get stuck in your head so you don't forget it, which the song-write intends. "Under my umbrella (Ella ella, eh eh eh)"      This is assonance in the song Umbrella. Rihanna repeats this phrase over and over to get her readers attention and to emphasize the main point or aspect of the song

I have really improved a lot this school year. My study habits have gotten a lot better. I've learned to study ahead a lot of days and to not procrastinate. The material we learn is a lot more complex and goes into more depth.       I've also improved in sports this year. I've gotten better at basketball even though I'm still bad. Sports are more intensive and hardcore and I have a lot more practice and games. I've also become a better writer. My organization, word choice, and sentence fluency. I've improved so much this year in many ways and I look forward to sophomore year,

Launch Day

Out of all of the launch day presentations, I liked Scott Wicker's presentation. His presentation talked about nanoparticles and making rust into plastic. He did it to find a more efficient way to make plastic which I thought was cool. His presentation solved something rather than stating an opinion.      On top of all of that, Scott also presented his information really well. Scott was very confident in his presentations and made me giggle a few times. You can tell he liked his topic an knew a lot about it. I really enjoyed his topic.
